ru·bea studio began as an exploration of art and self-expression that blossomed into a heartfelt tribute to family, creativity, and connection. From a young age, I immersed myself in drawing, painting, and singing, nurturing a deep love for the arts. Life’s twists and turns pulled me away from my creative roots until a move far from home reignited my passion. Feeling isolated in a new environment, I sought solace and community through a pottery class. That single class became a transformative journey, sparking countless hours at the pottery wheel and an unshakable connection to my craft.
ru·bea studio is named in honor of my paternal grandmother, Beatrice, and great-grandmother, Ruby. These incredible women shaped my artistry and values. Grandma Bea, my eternal hero and source of inspiration, embodies boldness, humility, and self-assuredness. Grandma Ruby shared a love for ceramics, providing creative inspiration that continues to guide my work today. Their influence flows through every piece I create, making ru·bea studio a living tribute to their legacy and love.
Each ceramic piece crafted at ru·bea studio is infused with intention, care, and individuality. My mission is to create art that resonates with you—pieces that make you smile, feel loved, and inspire you to share that love with others. Through this work, I aim to honor my family, connect with my community, and spread a little more joy in the world. As Romans 12:9 beautifully states, “Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it,” and that is precisely what we do at ru·bea studio.
